The Michigan Wolverines erased a ten point deficit in the final 9:15 against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Manny Harris put the Wolverines on top by 2 with 2.2 seconds remaining in the game.
Michigan, the No 8 seed in the Big Ten tournament, was looking to bounce the No. 1 seed Ohio State Buckeyes.
Evan Turner led all Buckeyes with 18 points but none bigger than his half court buzzer beater to send U of M home with grim faces.
Michigan out played OSU in the final 20 minutes of the game but in the end it was the Big Ten P.O.Y., Evan Turner. It was not a pretty game but in the tournament a "W" is a "W".
It does not matter how you get there. The great teams, or great players, figure out how to win in the end.
That is what ever Turner did today. As soon as he let go of the hanging three pointer he kept his follow through up. He knew it was in. An incredible play from the Naismith Player of the Year.
I know, I know he is still just a P.O.Y candidate in College Basketball but no player means more to their team than Evan Turner.
It is always better to be lucky... and good. Buckeyes steal one back from the Wolverines and advance on to play the winner of the 4, 5 game. (Wisconsin vs. Illinois)
