Ohio State Women's Soccer Rallies Past West Virginia, Wins 3-1

The Buckeyes were able to come back against West Virginia 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

The Buckeyes fell behind early when Mountaineers Forward Bri Rodriguez drilled a shot far post from 20 yards out past a diving Rachel Middleman in the 38th minute.

The Buckeyes then came out on fire after halftime as they went on to score three goals in the second half. Lauren Granberg got the Buckeyes on the board when she found the back of the net in the 52nd minute. Granberg scored her first goal of the season on a volley off of a nice ball from Tiffany Cameron.

A little over a minute later, Granberg struck again, scoring the go-ahead goal off of a great feed from midfielder Lauren Steuer.

The Buckeyes would later tack on an insurance goal when Caitlyn Martin scored off of a Courtney Jenkins corner kick to give Ohio State a 3-1 advantage. The goal was Caitlyn Martin's first as a Buckeye.

The Buckeyes will travel down I-70 and take on the Dayton Flyers on Friday night at 6:00 pm. They will then come back home to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and take on the Akron Zips on Sunday night at 6:00 pm.
