Duron Carter, son of Hall of Fame Wide Receiver Chris Carter, will not be a student at Ohio State for the 2010-2011 school year.
Carter's academic troubles, which made him ineligible for the 2010 Rose Bowl Game, have resulted in his transfer from the University.
Last Season, Carter appeared in all 12-regular season games for Ohio State as a freshman. He had 13 receptions for 176 yards and a touchdown.
Carter was the top candidate for the No. 3 Receiving spot left vacant after the graduation of Ray Small.
Duron sat out all of spring practice to focus on his academics to ensure his eligibility for the upcoming season. Carter will attend Coffeyville Junior College next year.
Carter's absence makes Taurian Washington the next best option on the roster for Coach Jim Tressel.
The Duron story is the second chapter of the disappointing Carter Saga at Ohio State. Chris Carter was dismissed from the team before his senior season after signing a contract with an agent.
Coach Tressel also announced that Keith Wells will not be a part of the Ohio State Football team in 2010.
